Introduction
When it comes to sound creation and performance, Native Instruments have become synonymous with pushing the boundaries of what technology can do.
And as one of only a few schools in the world to hold the Native Education Partner title, we aim to deliver cutting-edge music production and DJ training not only to our students, but offer this up to the local Manchester community.
Meetups
Native Meetups are an opportunity for all to share musical ideas, experiment with Native Instruments gear and meetup with like-minded people.
These events are free and take place regularly throughout the year. If you’re interested in producing or performing music and want to see how Native Instruments can help you achieve this, then please come along to our next event at the school!
- General admission is subject to capacity – we recommend to get down early to avoid disappointment.
- The T-Shirts come in S/M/L/XL sizes.
- The 1-2-1 is for a unique and specialised session covering your exact needs.
The free expansion pack can be one of your choice, up to RRP of £44.
Join the Native Core Team
You can get involved in different ways at Meetups, by either presenting a User Insight, or by becoming a Core Team Member.
Perks include massive discounts from Native Instruments products, free access to Komplete 12 Collector’s edition, free NI merch and the opportunity for further NI training in London – ideal for developing your CV and your network.
These are unpaid position, but we hope that the relationships, contacts and experience you will gain (not to mention friendships!) along the way will be worth it, along with the above perks. All applications are very welcome!
To expand then on User Insight and Core Team responsibilities:
User Insights are short sessions presented at a Native Meetup in your chosen location. You will be required to prepare and present a subject of your choice. This can range from something such as a track deconstruction, how you use a certain expansion, tips’n’tricks you’ve learnt the way, or even how you approached a brief. The options are endless and we are open to every and all ideas. This is a great option if you would like to build on your presentation skills and want to give back to your community.
The Core Team are the life and soul of Meetups and they can’t run without them! Core Team members are expected to help with the event and logistics, promote to their own community and shape new ideas. Other expectations are to be involved with the quarterly events and be active in the community. This is for people who already have a solid grounded experience in NI kit and music production. To get a spot on the team you will be required to do user insights initially.
Should you develop to become a product specialist and want to teach some of the paid 30-min 1-2-1s offered at Meetups, then you can receive payment for each of these.
