Ideal if you’re working or have kids
Lessons 1 evening a week, can be studied in Manchester, or online, or both.
We know things have changed. So have we.
Speak to us about your situation and what you’re wanting to achieve, and we will do our best to work out a plan that fits your budget and your goals.
(Hint: we can offer some amazing payment plans that aren’t on our website!)
We’re super excited for our new tutor, Poppy, who will be teaching our Introduction to Music Production Course on May 26th 2021 – Wednesday evenings (6 months).
She’s also teaching our Ableton Live Course (evenings for 6 weeks).
Poppy is a producer, song-writer and vocalist with over 10 years of production and live experience. After graduating from the University of Salford with First-Class Honours in Music Technology and Live Performance, she has collaborated with names such as Apollo R&S, The North Quarter, Scissor & Thread, Wolf Music, Audio Network, and many more.
Currently heading up the neo-soul collective Lovescene, Poppy specialises in Ableton, production workflow, live sampling and the general joy of making music …with a personal love for broken-beat, ambient, garage, DnB and of course, everything in between.
We may be able to offer you a part or full scholarship.
We know these times have been particularly tough for some in society.
If you feel like studying this course would help improve things for you, we’d like to hear from you.
This is Omar, our head course advisor at SEM. Like almost all of the SEM staff, Omar was once a student here. He’s now a successful alt-pop/RNB artist bubbling up on the Manchester scene.
He’s recently started his own label ‘NRTHRN’ which has received support from Manchester International Festival. In 2019 he was picked up by BBC Introducing, and has a slew of releases behind him.
Omar knows what it’s like to be at the start of the journey, and is passionate about helping people find their path in music. He’ll be the person you’ll chat to if you book a call.
We also run free music production courses monthly, if you’d like to come in and meet the crew, followed by some music making!
A little reminder that SEM is also back open fully.
Come for a personal tour with Omar, and a coffee on us in Brew-Tang on the ground floor of SEM.
