The Manchester based independent station set up shop in February 2017
MCR LIVE has featured a growing roster of radio shows hosted by a range of DJs, musicians and collectives. Whilst the station hosts shows by established artists such as Everything Everything, Dutch Uncles and Findlay, it’s also a hub for new talent, giving upcoming artists from the North West the opportunity to get on air and reach a wider audience with their music.
SEM’s new monthly show will air on every third Thursday of the month with our first show taking place Thursday January 17th 5PM -6PM. Each show will be planned, prepared and presented by a selected SEM student and will act as a platform for students to share the music they’re passionate about.
Expect live DJ sets, studio guests, live performances and interviews which aim to cover all areas of the electronic music genre.

We’re always on the lookout for students to feature on our MCR LIVE show.
If you are interested hosting a live show, please get in touch. Your show could feature a live DJ set by yourself, or perhaps you want to play individual tracks and talk between them. Perhaps you want to bring a guest into the studio and present more of an interview style format for an hour. It’s entirely up to you. We welcome all ideas and are open to applications from SEM students past and present.
