We heard that you’ve recently been signed to a management team. How did this come about?
Well I saw a post on Facebook from a label called Prime looking to take on one more artists to manage. They had lots of submissions but my brand stood out to them. I feel I got lucky, but they had been following my moves for a while which helped me. Mainly because of my consistency on social media which had created an online persona for my brand.
What will this change for you as a musician?
I’ve already benefited from their involvement as they’ve taken a lot of my work load off my shoulders. Also in terms of contacts, they are helping me with my rebrand right now.
They want me over in America this year to play some shows, so hopefully that goes to plan. The team has been fantastic to work with. I’m looking forward to the future.
Don’t Die at Work and Stems Collective are just a couple of the labels you’ve released tracks with last year. Have these releases helped you gain exposure?
Well yes! The whole point of me releasing on these collectives and labels is to increase the ears that will be hearing my sound.
You’re active on all the social networks, is there a particular platform you feel has worked well especially well for you?
Well firstly, a bit of advice. If you are an artist and you are not posting or optimising your reach on a daily basis then your rise will be slow. You need to use all social media to your advantage to develop your band. Facebook is hands down the most important to my career! It’s so easy to find opportunities and contacts.

Did you have a knowledge of music making prior to starting at SEM?
I studied Music Technology A level for two years so I knew Logic very very well before I started! At school my teacher was traditional though and anything that was ‘experimenting’ was wrong to him, so it was refreshing that experimentation was encouraged at SEM. I also spent every day on Youtube watching tutorials prior to starting the course.
What made you decide to study Music Production at SEM?
I was searching ‘Sheffield Music University’ when I spotted an advert for SEM. I clicked it out of curiosity and the website sold the courses to me on the spot. I later visited for the open day and signed up to study the Complete Music Production, Audio Engineering and Music Business Course at SEM.
